I have one of these macho tuff headlight guards fitted to my 1150GS - it came with it on, but last night was the first time I rode late at night - the bloody thing reflects like a bugger onto the windscreen (larger than std Wunderlich item).

On dipped beam there are vertical lines of light reflected on the left inside of the screen - switch onto main beam and the lines spread right across the screen.

What a bleedin' pain in the arse this is - was thinking about trying to find some non-reflective paint or something - failing that, it's gotta go.

Anyone else got any suggestions ?

Which headlight guard? If its the Touratech perspex jobbie which sits proud of the headlight unit on long screws then I've shortened the spacers and used shorter screws so it now just sits behind the shroud.

If its one of the other onces (velcro'd on jobbie then sling it away its shite anyway) :D

But as you're a fair weather, sunny day sad sack, leave it in situ it'll never bother you again. :upyou

it's one of these

p.s. judge :upyou :upyou :upyou :upyou :upyou

Light..

I know the same problem 6x, but i dont even have a grill..
I have found its the screen.. i see you have tobinators on like me..
The extra gap allows light to reflect up under the screen.. it does it off my beak alone I am thinking of extending the grey fly screen a little somehow.. not sure yet.. but shouldnt be too difficult to do.

Though the effectiveness of those grills is limited to half bricks, sparrows and low flying cats.. all of which will total the screen so.. may as well not bother with it..

The TT plastic one seems the most effective of all or price/function ratio, but as the man says.. the mount need to be shorttened to bring it under the fly screen to stop the reflection..

Otherwise its the ventura stick on bits,, which look nice, but i cannot find a supplier..
