Looking at doing something with my woeful H1 bulb in my main headlight, what are the options for a brighter light? HID? LED? Or something else?

The best option is to go LED and get a new set of lenses from Poland. If you want to keep it looking authentic and get a much better and brighter/ longer beam, that’s the best in my opinion but not cheap!

I like that Paul, think I get the gist of what it is although my polish is very poor or non existent 😂 do you know how you order one and do they come complete as per the videos? I do fancy the one with double angel eyes for ZT 350 which doesn’t seem that expensive looking at ZT to GB conversion.

I’ve had no dealings with them, Howard, so I’m unable to answer your questions.

Let us know how you get on as there are a few people who may look at going the same way…😊👍

there have been a couple of people that have bought these from this forum. That's how I heard about them. As for looking at the site, just go through google chrome and their built in translate.

I’ve done a dual HID conversion on mine. It made one hell of a difference. Main beam having a fast ballast.

I had HID on mine, and converted the standard BMW spots to HID as well... it produced more light but the limit is the optics of the standard design. My HID were supposed to have fast ballast, but sometimes there was a delay in switching full beam on.
Anyways I kept then on the bike for a couple of years then fitted LED to all lights. Brighter again, with instant on/off. Probably the best solution given the physical limitations of the standard design.
I have seen the Dr Light website and think that a full conversion would be the optimal way forward... but may be a bit pricey... looks good though...
