Headlight protector… what’s missing??

Hi all. I’ve just stripped the fairings off to allow access and found a hole where I’m sure there should be a bolt pre-fitted? I’m not the most adept so looked at a few YouTube videos first, all of which mention that hexagonal hole having a bolt already there. In any case, can someone point me to what I need to buy please and where I might get them? The videos I’ve seen show sleeves/ blanks so I am loathe to just drop a standard bolt in- unless the collective says it’ll be fine to do that.

Yes, the lower bracket of the headlight protector also bolts to it.

Oh right, must be an aftermarket protector, I have the BMW headlight protector and that doesn't.

FYI - when I fitted my Wunderlich protector, it came with the correct captive nut for that 'Hex Hole' .. might be worth speaking to the supplier
