hi guys, just a quick question, has anyone or everyone have the high beam section of the headlight steam up all the time. it clears eventually if hace full beam on for a while but comes back again. have i a leak into light unit or just the cold conditions........

many thanks.......

You might have a leak cant tell from here:D If you drop by your local camera shop you can get a small bag of silica crystals(Usually on a piece of string)leave in the headlight over night (seal it in as best you can) and it should absorb any moisture in there. If the steaming up reoccurs then you will need to seal the rim.

I have also noticed some steaming up. Is there not a hole into the whole headlight assembly at the back which has a right angle rubber cover. I have already lost two of them and have replaced it with a piece of silicon tubing that has been cable tied on.

Mine too. It's just the cold conditions. They're vented - those little 90 degree tubes. Even if it gets completely immersed there are also drains at the bottom. Don't worry about it :thumb

the 90 degree rubber bit must have fallen off. just noticed, when washing then i am just pointing the water straight into headkight.:tears
