Any second now.....I can feel it coming, it's tingling is someone's fingers, hovered above their keyboard.......
"Clique!"

"Clique!"

Hi,
Looking forward to seeing the reason for this.
Bulbs standard, fitted correctly, beam set (well, probably checked this by now).
All basic stuff. So why blinding traffic and illuminating car interiors?
If the rear shock is tired, could it be just under acceleration?
Is the instrument pod secure on the little post front and centre?
Are the side bolts on the pod nipped up correctly? If you cannot tighten them, the rubber threaded inserts may be past their prime.
If not, you may be getting the pod vibrating, and though not dazzling on coming traffic, annoys them by making the beam appear to flash dip/main.
And of course, did this start just after you did some work on the motorcycle?
I was going to ask if your pre-load is way off, but you would soon notice that when riding.
Sorry I cannot help, but watching thread to educate myself. Hope you solve issue.
You are missing the point completely. It's an internet forum with lots of experience and different opinions and if you are upset and affected by a few words written largely in jest, you need to man up a bit and go and get yourself a sense of humour.
Just for the record, most of the self righteous, pompous, know all fuck wits are the people most likely to help you when you have a real issue.
The problem with the “Sense of Humour” defense is that, without the subtleties of body language and facial expression, it is very hard to ‘get’ on an internet forum and as such is often used by objectionable twats when the ground swell of opinion turns against them; “Don’t get so uptight, I was only joking”, no you were being a twat to impress your internet mates and got pulled up on it.
Not everyone is robust enough to stick up for themselves in an environment where innocence and naivety is pounced upon by a pack of emotional retards stuck in a circle jerk of self-confirming behavior. Fanum’s response to Morris is a great example of this, there is no humour in that response it’s just abuse and downright offensive and it’s not only tolerated by the moderators but one pops up to defend similar behavior.
This is not the pub; it’s a technical section where people should be able to come to seek the advice and opinion of other, more experienced people who are kind enough to offer help. There are probable hundreds of people wanting to ask “idiotic” questions, people who don’t have engineering back grounds and in all honesty probably are “Ewan or Charlies” but so what? They’re out of their comfort zones, is that such a crime?
They are still the footfall by which advertising revenue is calculated and those “idiotic” questions could help a lot of similarly “Idiotic” people that lurk but don’t feel confident enough to post; is that really such a hardship?
I’ve seen this situation before on internet forums where too many likeminded people turn the place into their forum and their behaviors and attitudes are all that are tolerated. Eventually, bit by bit, the footfall drops to the point where the ‘victims’ get fewer and fewer, the hardcore get bored and the forum dies, which would be a shame as this place has helped me solve a number of issues and one day would like to help others.
As the great Jay Z said “haters will always hate” sage words indeed.
Will you be helping others before or after you get around to reading the owners manual I wonder.
Maybe you should consider using your obvious skills at psychoanalysing people you have never met simply on the basis of a post or two on here rather than helping with technical issues.
John
God imaging how dull it would be if it where full of people like the OP in my world the feckless likes of the OP are cocks. Just shows how differently people can see the world.........
I've never met these people, that I know of,
I mean you wouldn’t behave like this in the street This is really an illusory construct;

Anyone have issues with this?n
however I will pop it down to riders to see if they can sort it for me. Thankfully though I no longer dazzle anybody now

I had the same problem with mine, unfortunately I have lost my manual, so being a 1200 rider I used my I brains to work out a solution. I found letting the front tyre down sorted the problem completely.![]()
Are you using the iOS7 platform and does it upset the Canbus?
Got your lights balanced yet?
Have you sorted the light yet?? I'm sure a local MOT station would be happy to help you set the beam height correctly.
Don't forget to set it with you sat ON the bike, off the centre stand.

Now I would say, and I don't know if this is connected or just a coincidence, but the bike doesn't seem to manoeuvre as well as it did, and I also occasionally can hear a rumbling noisehowever I will pop it down to riders to see if they can sort it for me. Lots of big words but ultimately a massive contradiction.Get out from behind your desk and meet some, then comment

Most the people on forums that I've met that use big words and write long boring self adorning statements turn out to be lacking in personality and people skills.![]()

So i can't call you a cock?
but you can state i'm sub human![]()
That don't seem fair, does it?
No piss taking, that's all been done now.
Are you sure the bulb is aligned correctly? The dip beam has the tab at the top IIRC, but could probably be easily fitted upside down. Also when removing/replacing bulb be very careful with the retaining clip, they are very easy to break off.
No, somethings odd as I can't adjust to within the range in the links you kindy posted.
bought a new bulb to see if the one in there is iffy.
At the moment I've got the light set up as if the bike is loaded, i.e. the adjustment lever is up, which leaves the throw a little short.
I'm off work tomorrow and Tuesday so will look into it a bit further.
It's either the bulb or the sealed unit is not fixed firmly or something else, maybe if I wedge the handbook in there somewhere if it'll help.
