Hi,
I am thinking of changing the heads of my ,new to me, R80GSPD´91, and am interested to know if there is anything to look out for.
The GS has an estimated 80 000 km on what i imagine is its original set up.
I also have two brand new heads with new valves, seats, guides and springs of a R80/7 ´80.
I am looking at keeping the GS long term and like the idea of new valves etc.
The /7 rocker gear is old boxer clickety clackety while the GS is relatively guiet.
Can i just change the heads and keep the same rocker set up on the GS ?
Do i need to think about any shimming ?
Any advice or observations ? ,Thanks.
