Hi Folks,

My bike's finally back on the road and i'm looking at a few places to host some meetings. Following a chat with Bryn, one of my locations would be ideal for a new National Event to replace the East Mids Lumb Farm.
For a local meet, i have a pub and campsite in mind at Woodbury Salterton and for a National, there's a new site i've located on Exmoor.
The Exmoor site has camping, self catering and B&B with a heated indoor pool and on site pub. Just down the road is also a rather nice local pub. The area offers a lot of different activities for those that don't fancy a rideout and, for those that do, some lovely scenery, green lanes, fords and cream teas!
Bryn says he's ok with me offering a new venue and i've emailed Paul G too see about getting a new event up and running.
So, starting with the SW, who's interested in a Woodbury meet, and who'd like to see a new National Event based around North Devon/Somerset?
 
Would love to attend a national event but Exmoor is a bit of a haul for some of us.

I enquired with Paul G some time ago about organising a new National Event, as i had a couple of venues in mind. However, Paul rightly pointed out that there were already sufficient National Events being run, and that too many could be seen as detrimental to GS riders being able to meet up.
That said, and in response to those in the far north, i work shifts and often find i cannot attend events as time off work is nigh on impossible. There are also other events held in the north that i'm unable to attend due to time/cost considerations.
With Bryn hosting his last East Mids, i thought i would propose a new National Event to fill the spot he's vacating. If someone wants to take over from Bryn, and keep things in the East Mids, then i'm happy to keep things on a local level down here.
We've not really had a National SW Event for a few years now. Sid's event is mainly for Airhead owners and i feel that it could be a good time to offer an event for new riders to explore, and more veteran members of ukgser to rediscover, some really great riding territory.
I've only put a poll up to gauge the level of interest before going ahead with any plans. My apologies to Bryn if i jumped the gun a little, but sometimes, if you don't move quickly, someone else will jump in and grab the spotlight.
I'll happily put together an event that people want, be it local or national, and at present, i'm just trying to find out what people would like before going ahead.
