What is it for air / watercooled and is it for the crankcases or barrels and head.
For most water cooled stuff and crankcases , I would rub it down , etch prime it and then use two pack or similar
For aircooled barrels and heads look at something like PJ1, preparation is key, I did my gsx1100 Katana engine 7 year ago, took it back to bare, the crankcases were etch primed (the barrels and head were not primed ) and then for the silver top coat i used Simonize wheel silver.
Still good with no yellowing after a good few thousand miles
