heated body warmer

Please help does any know if you can use the power outlet on a 1200gs to heated a electric body warmer.

You need to know what current it draws from the system (see manufacturers spec') and check it's below the maximum specified for the 1200 power outlet otherwise the computer will shut it down. - I think I've seen this posted somewhere or it may be in teh owners handbook

If the jacket power is quoted in watts, divide it by 12 to get the amps it will draw. (eg 60 watt jacket 60/12 = 5 amps.

1200 socket is rated at 5amps.

The max draw on the socket is 5 amps before the canbus shuts it down.
I use a Klan waist coat which is 3.5 amps or 42 watts. Never had a problem with it
