Gerbings jacket and gloves on dual controller.
Always does the job and keeps you nicely warm in any outlandish winter weather.
Only drawback is the cost but must say well worth it.

Just for reference, I called Adventure Spec today to get some information and it turns out that it is not possible to buy just the inner gloves without their controller even though you don't need it if you buy the two channel controller with the rapidfire jacket! I chap I spoke to said it was bizarre but they can no longer order just the gloves although he did say that they had some pairs in the warehouse left over from when they could. Out of interest I emailed manufacturer in the US who although said they don't well gloves only...
Therefore I guess the solution is buy some heat liner gloves from elsewhere if you need/ want them.
I have one of the new EXO2 jackets, complete with battery and controller. Advantages over the BMW waistcoat I had before are heated sleeves which make a big difference, and the sheer warmth of it even without the heat on. Plus it is usable as an outer jacket off the bike being waterproof (claimed, not yet tested by me) and breathable. With the battery I can use it when fishing or photographing, but note the battery only heats the back panel.
I have removed the liner from my Rukka Arms for the winter and just use the EXO2 instead.
With the heat on it is very warm, and I have only needed the lowest setting so far last winter.
On the downside, the cut of the jacket around the front of the neck is slightly strange and a bit tight.

Another thumbs up for the Gerbings jacket liner and gloves. Makes riding in the cold a doddle, even pleasant. You need to get the additional direct to battery connection as it draws too much power for the standard GS socket and the dual controller unit so that you don't overheat. Generally when it's zero degrees I have the jacket on 3 and the gloves on 4 (5 is maximum) but only wear a lightweight base layer shirt underneath the jacket.
I can't think of any other piece of kit I've ever bought that has had such a major impact on my enjoyment of the bike. Well worth the money.

Went for the powerlet system in the end, Turns out ABW stock them. Popped across Sat received the usual warm welcome and found the size that fitted. Used for the first time this morning and its like have the sun on your back brill.

WORD OF WARNING , Gerbing heated clothing is changing the way it deals with returns, Previously when you sent your faulty items back from where you bought them the dealer would simply replace the faulty item for a new one, they would then send the item back to Gerbing. NOW when you send your fauly itme back to the dealer, they send them back to Gerbing for them to be fixed before returning them to you and this process can take a while.

I thought I was way to hard to want heated clothing but after riding home yesterday in a Powerlet jacket I am a convert.
Turned the bitter cold ride from an endurance exercise to a toasty enjoyable jaunt!
Not cheap but the kit is without fault and the wireless controller is great.
Any of you clowns want a deal on one then let me know

Bought a pair of Gerbing T12 heated gloves yesterday from the bike show, luckily they plug straight into my Warm and Safe jacket....

Can an 1150GSA (assuming everything works) run 2x jackets/boots for example?
I can't see her wanting to ride at night much... So the lights shouldn't impact too much.
The GSA has a heavier alternator I think so all will be fine?
