My left hand grip has failed , I would think it's the element inside the grip.
The bike is a 2010 GSA covered 39,000 miles.
Does anybody know if they are repairable, and if so how do you get the grip off to get at the element or is it bonded into the rubber.
Thanks in anticipation.

Non repairable, unless you want to try grinding off the rubber to expose the element inside (thus destroying the grip anyway).

Remove the rear of the switchgear cover with a small Torx screwdriver, inside is a tiny multi plug connector for the grip power supply. The grip also simply attaches to the handlebar with Torx screws. Takes about 20 minutes to swap the grip, difficulty level 2 out of 10.

Many thanks for that, I reckon I better go and order a new grip.
Thanks again . Mel

Probably worth fitting a set of grip puppies whilst you are at it. They make the grip a bit fatter, but ease on the vibes through the bars and prevent wear to the rubber grip whilst still allowing heat through.
