I purchased this kit a few weeks ago, £23 all inc. I got myself a Gillet (£8) and spent a few hours sewing. Not been cold enough yet to use it in anger, but i have plugged it in and it works.

Nice and easy to make, would like to get some form of on/ off low/high switch into the circuit. Just don't know what to use though.

Give it another week i'm sure it will be cold enough to use

Good luck

Hi, Maplins do a nice thermostat kit for £4.99 it will probably need a little box to fit it in aswell, works well. Maplins thermostat

its better to use a swet top so you can sew the wires down the arms, the good thing about the make you own kits is you can heat the parts that you suffer from cold :thumb
