Any one got any advice on these? never had one but later in the year doing a trip though cold climate and into tropical climes. have got a ralle 2 suit for
the warmer climes but this is nowhere near as warm as my Rukka. So, to save taking two jackets wondered about an electric jacket. No too impressed with BMW gear as I think it's over priced and over hyped, Rukka gear aint cheap but it is good. Any advice apriciated.

Gerbing under jacket - only way to go IMHO - my rheostat failed the other day, they simply posted out a new one no questions asked, everything Gerbing is guaranteed for life.

They get my vote 100% :thumb :thumb

Dave, hi

I bought a 2nd hand BMW heated jacket and was out on the bike last weekend (it was cold then) for 18 hours in one stretch and never needed to go past the low setting, well impressed. I wore it over a T shirt and then had other layers on top. Warm as toast.

Ill second the Gerbing stuff. Much better than the Chilli jacket i used to own.

Make your own jacket, for less rhan £30. Put the heat where you prefer it in the top of your choice, mine has enough heating element to go all over both arms, neck and body. . I used a double lined dunlop fleece reversable with pockets , £14.

Heated kit HERE .

Also fitted a thermostat.

Used mine for over a year now without any trouble. I also made some heated trousers.

I made one with this kit, well worth the money :thumb

I went down the DIY route and used an old liner out of a Hein G' jacket that i no longer used. Kit cost £20 as he only lives down the road from me:D
If youve got a couple of hours to spare its well worth the effort.
As Steptoe says you can put the element exactly where you want it aswell:thumb
