Does anyone have any experience with adding heated pads or whatever I would need to make mine heated.? I'm getting stupidly cold all the time due to health issues and there's no way I'm giving up biking because I'm shaking all the time!!!
I'm in Derbyshire if anyone knows any companies that may mod seats etc?
Cheers.

you would be better off buying a heated jacket, that keeps the core warm!

Yeah that's on my list too... I have some heated inner gloves but they are useless so never use them. It kind of put me off getting a heated inner but I'm still looking into those.

Id go down the heated jacket route first - one if the best things I've ever bought

I had the original BMW one that warned the neck, lovely that was and now the later honey comb one. They make a big difference

Jackets are great, shoot skygod a pm,

if you only could afford 1 item the jacket is it,

goucho and muffs are next,

there's no point in warming your extremities if your core is cold, get your core warm and those extremities will be warm as well!

You can get 12v heated pads from a variety of places, intended for different functions.

Try a search on Ebay/Amazon for things like Puppy Warming pads/beds etc........they tend to be waterproof/washable (puppies pee) and the better ones are temp regulated (broiled puppies are not good for brand image) and robust (puppies nibble things) and many of them are regulated at 12v.

There are also mats that fit to hot water tanks in commercial dishwashers that are run at 12v for safety.....some are wireless (Not as in bluetooth obviously, but as in the material has no actual wire in the pad) so they can be trimmed down.

PS also do a search here for 'shytebags' AKA "Gauchos" on here....probably the best single investment in winter gear for biking I've EVER made, including purchases of heated gear.

Just seen this but if still looking - I bought heated element from 'the parts shop' on fleabay (£19.95) and fitted it to the front seat of my 1150GS about three years ago. Still works really well, keeps your arse and legs warm. Fitted it myself, just needed to borrow a heavy duty staple gun with longer then normal staples to refit seat cover.
