I have just ordered a 1250GSA TE rallye
The dealer has found one that matches my spec but it has heated seats which I wasnt bothered about.
My question is are the heated and non heated seats the same, ie height, shape and density

I can't tell you about the height, but mine definitely feels like the same shape but noticeably softer on my arse.

They are the same, but as the other guys have said, seem to be softer. Maybe different foam because of the heating elements. They are ok.

I bought a 2nd hand Corbin seat that had heating elements in and thought it was a bit gimmicky but when it is really cold they are very welcome around the old farmer Giles!

Mine has heated seats and they are like the old comfort seats on my previous Gs

I recommend them

I would say they are the same.
Both me and a friend bought new 1250 GSAs around the same time from different dealers in March, both with lowered suspension. His, a Rallye, came with a lowered heated seat, which appear to be, looking at the material used, a comfort seat. Whereas mine, a Triple Black came with a standard height/standard heated seat. Firmness wise, this seat doesn't seem to be any different to the one on my last GSA.

My new 1250 has heated seats and I would agree, feels softer than my old one although maybe it is just a bit of a change for a newer model?

Had heated seats on my last bike - the mrs never turned them off , she loved it

I just did 300 miles on Wednesday on my 1250GS with heated seats. They are so comfy. I would highly recommend them as I went through every seat option on my 1200GS and never felt comfortable.

They are same material as the old comfort seats, as has been said. And I'd agree that they seem somewhat softer/more comfy than even the old comfort seats. You might just surprise yourself that use the hating as well.
