Heatwave forecast for Europe Thursday 18th - Tuesday 23rd June

I went to France once in a summer many moons ago, Hottest I had ever been, even my oven at the time never got that hot, stopped sticking my head in an Electric oven now though, still Don't have Gas.

One time and one time only, might travel if snows on the ground though, cant stand the heat.

Peely Wally Coloured Scot, oot!

It may be the only time I’m pleased I’m in the car with air-conditioning, heading home from Nanthiat, near Limoges Thurs-Sat.

My happy riding weather is between 18-23°c, I can ride in 15°c quite happily, just my digits tend to get cold easily. Anything above 25°c does become challenging, but doable. I wouldn’t be happy riding in mid to high 30°s though. It be like sticking yourself into an oven. Need must but wouldn’t go out of my way to just for the hell of it.

I would like to apologise up front for all our northern forum users.

The sun wont come out up north for the rest of the year, because i bought a solar panel for my ring camera and the sun has fucked off.
I put it up on a sunny day and its rained since generating nothing!
I will still need to charge the feckin batteries!

A few years ago we returned to Bari from Greece on the overnight ferry which docked at about 11.00. As I disembarked I saw the temp gauge was showing 42c, so immediately retired to a shaded cafe where we changed our plans.

We’d originally intended to wander around the back roads up towards France, but instead routed a blast up the motorways, stopping at services every hour to consume 2 litres of water each and tip another bottle over ourselves and our mesh jackets, this was pure heaven for the 20 mins or so that it took to dry off.
