Heatwave forecast for Europe Thursday 18th - Tuesday 23rd June

I’m happy up to about 27c, yesterday afternoon I had two hours at 34C, not pleasant at all🥵

33 here yesterday, went for a spin up here where it was down to 24, one of my regular loops

I’m here now - it’s fucking fantastic 👍☀️👍☀️

Beaune showing 35 this weekend.
Get some use out the Marrakesh jacket !
🤣
35 is too hot . Was wearing my Marrakesh in Brittany just now at 27 degrees and it was ok. Don’t like it much hotter.

I remember flying to Dubai many years ago ( when I couldn’t avoid the shit hole ) and was speaking to a passenger in the galley . I asked if she was on business but she said she was going for a holiday . I mentioned it was a tad hot but she replied she liked the heat . They’d never been to Dubai until then .It was up to 49 degrees during the day and a cool 32 at night . Fucking muppets .

I’m also taking the Marrakesh next month - how warm do you think it will be in India ?

A balmy 27C here in Bad Leuterberg today but going hotter towards weekend with chance of thunderstorms !
Oh and the Chunnel was not doing ees or indeed stamping passports
We didn’t bother challenging the stasi we like living on the edge and even the bikes are parked outside with no butter in sight

We have had high 30`s for a fair while now, we are expecting 40`s from Sunday, not unusual for June.
162KM West from me on the coast, it will be 26 - 28....I wonder where I might be going next week. :D
2 hours each way....

Between 0 and 30 ish 😜
Seriously.
If it’s in the 30s at sea level ish then it’ll be zero or below at 18000 ft assuming an adiabatic lapse rate of 2 degs per 1000 ft

Will it be dusty on your India trip? I’ve done Chile and Argentina a few times and the dust on the gravel roads can be bad if there’s other traffic around. I was reminded of it yesterday on a section of road in Bosnia that was being repaired and the trucks were kicking up shitloads of dust. Hot n dusty 🥵

I was in Riyadh (with work) bang splat in the middle of August of 2014. Far too hot!!!

You could fry an egg in the glass of the hotel room at 5:30am.

Horrible!

The picture below is of me being driven for lunch at just before 1pm and the temps readout on the dash was showing 49°c. Never again.

Used to go down to the Red Sea diving every weekend when I worked in KSA in the 90’s. It was about 50C air temperature camping on the beach and 27C in the top 6 metres of seawater. I always remember the pleasure of getting into my Nissan Paytol at the end of the weekend to start the 4 hour drive back to base. Oh the sweet sweet luxury of air conditioning in the car
