19°C and raining here in the West Riding. Heat wave my arse.
Been 29 ish here in Brittany . Going to be 37 on Monday but we’re heading home tomorrow where it’s 24 am next week. Wouldn’t want to be on a bike in mainland Europe next week
High of 38 today in France and whilst it’s about manageable, it’s started to dictate where we go and at what speed and for how long !
I think the missus has it worse with no direct breeze onto her with me acting as monsieur windbloc.
She ditched her jacket and gloves today. Not ideal but understandable.

Off to Spain for 2 wks on Sunday, 5 of us on bikes, my polish mate does'nt like hot weather so will moan moan and moan, Ferry to St Malo - Saint martin de re - Pau - Logrono - HOTEL DEL OSO - Cangas de narcea - santiago de compostela - Leon - ferry from Santander home, prefer September far better climate, ive dumped the rukka and bought some Marrakesh gear.
We are campervanning north of Bordeaux but right on the coast. As a northerner It’s felt proper hot the last few days but not as hot as it’s forecast to be. It’s a good site and pitch with lots of shade from the pine tree forest we are in and a good sea breeze seems to develop by lunchtime that really takes the edge off the heat. The van even it being a pop top stays pleasantly cool. We were going to move elsewhere this weekend but decided not to as it’s really nice here. So all good. .
