As in the title...I've got to get a pair of inner tubes as spares for my new DR650 work bike (ex MrIfan ex Timolgra)

Are they all pretty much the same or is there a particular brand I should be looking for?

They're for use in Morocco so rocky hard terrain, nasty bastard thorns in places.

Pirelli Mt21's fitted F&R, no rim locks (if that makes any difference :nenau) and 90/90 21 F 120/90 18 R

It's a long time since I've had tubed tyres so any recommendations appreciated :)

PS they'll have to be standard common stock 'cos I've only got this week to get them...special order jobbies won't get here in time :)

Michelin do an extra heavy duty tube. I'd fit them and add some slime into the tubes just incase :thumb

Hmmmm....I've been doing some googling and the Michelin tubes do get mentioned all over the place...whether that's 'cos they have the budget to advertise or just 'cos they're god I dunno but in the absence of any other info, I guess I can get them anywhere and will grab some this week :thumb2

As for slime? sod that....nasty stuff...the only bikes that get punctures are the ones with slime in and as I'll be changing the hoops meself, that would be nasty ikky :blast:D

I don't like slime :P

Cheers chap :thumb

Rim locks required

the valves tear out of the tubes if no rim locks are fitted .

going to fit different rims to my 950ADV as the only times it has let mr down have been due to punctures one of which was a torn out Valve .

That said the really heavy duty tubes are not recommended for road bikes .

I have the 4mm extra heavy duty Michelins fitted to the front 21" wheel of my 1150:nenau

Bill, I think you'll find that's what's already fittrd to the DR. Just buy some spare:confused:
