I got my tyres fitted at the weekend to the 1200GS. In the 30 000 miles I have had the bike I have only had road tyres fitted (mainly Trail-Attacks).

First impression is that it looks an awful lot more purposeful than on road tyres. They look like a 4wd tyre as opposed to Anakees(?) that look like a motorbike tyre with more grooves/bigger blocks.

I now have 200 miles on dry/damp roads and I must admit I like them. They do feel strange as the sidewalls are extremely stiff so riding in a straight line you tend to notice the uneveness of the road more as the tyres absorb less of the bumps.

The tread also squirms around which feels a little disconcerting especially when you are cornering.

The only time I have noticed the "blockiness" of the front wheels is at walking pace otherwise they are as smooth as any other tyres.

I never really pushed my bike on road tyres but these new ones seem to do handle the same braking and cornering force and I would so far recommend them.:D

Currently running them on 2.1F/2.4R.

Cheers

Alex
