Andy, otherwise known a "Mouse" the manager at the Cardiff shop has been sacked,it's not for me to go into the politics of the decision but I think it would be fair to say that Mouse was the glue that held the shop together,it won't be the same without him and I,and I suspect many others will have one less reason to call in for a browse and a chat when passing, I wish his new area manager lots of luck filling Andy's shoes

a mate spent a while running one of their stores near London - Marlow or somewhere around there. They aren't the most enlightened of employers, with area managers knowing best, despite good sales figures and excellent customer feedback.

Not nice from what i gather.
I was always welcome and never pushed to buy anything (but did) and have been a regular since matt (AKA Ming )was there. They will have big boots to fill and the social side was a reason to go and buy.
Good luck to the new guy but I dont thing HG understand how some branches work.

Thats bad news, mouse was always welcoming, even for infrequent callers like me....and the banter was worth a visit anyway....

what are HG going to do to find a replacement...a hard act to follow as you say!

Same thing happened in their Belfast store earlier this year, guy who had been at the store since it opened and eventually became manager turned up for work as usually only to find his boss waiting for him with the news his services were no longer required.

Lot of "regular" punters have not been back since.

can't imagine anyone being a "regular" at the bournemouth HG. it's fecking dismal.

Thats bad news indeed.

Andy was a great asset to that shop and will be sorely missed.

Hope he gets himself soted out with another job asap.

HG has made a big mistake saying goodbye to Andy, the shop will
lose many a customer because of this. Good luck Andy for the future.

+1 Wot they all said, sorry to see him go. Crazy paint job on his 1150 mind, top bloke with the right attitude, :thumb
I even popped in the other day to show him the ORANGE beastie, just so he could take the pish! Alas no sign off him!

Also very very sorry to see him go. A really nice guy. He's got a lot to answer for, as in a previous life he taught both Elvie and I to ride!
