If you've had your eye on any gear at Hein Gericke lately this might be the weekend to buy. They're offering 30% off regular priced items and another 15% off already discounted items until this Sunday 22nd with voucher code LOYALTY30.

I've been interested in a pair of HG Rallye III boots, normally £219.99 and now £153.99 including delivery. That's £66 saved.

30% off isnt to be sniffed at!
Hmmmmm. Its about time I had myself a new pair of gloves. I will certainly be giving them a visit tomorrow. Thanks for that. I will let you know how I get on.

On the website I can get £75 off the Master V jacket. Purchase price is now £424!

Looks like I've found somewhere to go this weekend - nice one - thanks :thumb2

I've also been looking at the Master V but can't make my mind up between that and a Streetguard 3. I've just noticed that the PSX-RS is now down to £220 from £500 as well.

Anybody got any feedback/recommendations on those three jackets?

Well Ive just been and had a look. The PSX-RS jacket price was a typo on the website and is now back up to £599. All that money for a jacket with no thermal properties whatsoever. The Master V range is unobtanium and has now been suspended from production although there may be odd jackets at some dealers. The gloves I went for are out of stock and as for the size 46 Rally 111 boots, dont ask. Oh well, time to look elsewhere.

I went today and bought my lad a new jacket, some trousers and some boots all for £350. That'll be £294 sir.. Hang on thats not 30% off:eek

Oh yes, sorry sir I forgot to take it all off:rolleyes: Nice try

Very pleased with purchases and more so my lad is to.

I bought a pair of Hein Gericke Race Mesh Gloves for £16.99 online last night with free delivery, not bad for £39.99 pair of gloves :)

Went to Hein Gerike to take advantage of the 30% sale this weekend, thought I'd treat myself to one of the Pro Shell suits, either a master V or the PSX-RS

To cut a long story short, Guy in the shop says:-

" No Master V's at all, besides you wouldn't get 30% on them anyhow, they are already a sale item, and they are being re-designed and when they are re-launched I've heard they will no longer be a pro-shell construction"

.....wtf ??, backwards step surely :( ??

Ohh, right then, I'll just have a look at the PSX-RS then, as already mentioned there's a removable lining in the jacket, but none at all in the pants??
Anyhow, tried it on and it just looked like a badly fitting black boiler suit, discounted price down to £770, to me it looked like it was worth about £170 for the lot!

Dissapointed in the range and quality of the stuff they had on offer tbh, or am I being too fussy

Similarly disappointed by my nearest HG store (Chiswick). No stock of anything I was actually interested in trying. As far as the 30% discount, to be fair on HG it was only 15% on items already marked down (e.g. Master V) and the guys in-store did say they would price match the website. Not much use when there's nothing in stock though.

I think I might just wait until March/April as there's supposedly a new BMW suit coming out which sits spec/price wise between the Streetguard 3 and Tourance 2. I think I'll see if that's any good before buying anything new.

I bought 20 litres of HG Gel cleaner yesterday with the 30% off. Should last a few years :) Bike tipped in a bit quicker than normal with those in the panniers but no real problem.

I have both a Master V jacket/trouser combo and a PSX-RS jacket/trouser combo. Bought these about 3 years ago now, maybe a little less for the PSX-RS. One for winter, one for summer. If I had to make a choice and only have one, I would prefer the Master V no question. Both have been completely waterproof through some torrential rain so I'm a big fan of the Pro-Shell textiles. I hate the zips on them though as they get caught up with the inner material very easily and then it takes a lot of faffing about to get them undone. There is a technique that you quickly learn to do this. Overall though I rate them both very highly. It will be interesting to see the replacements when they do come out.

Me and the missus went to the Glasgow shop on Boxing day, first day of their sale, and there was bugger all there. My missus really wanted a new textile jacket - they had a choice of one ladies textile jacket in various colours...."ooohh the choice" plus they offered all of 10% off
Don't know why I keep visiting the shop....HG is always disappointing and a bit of a waste of time IMO. Used to have good choice and good spec of clothing back in the day....about 10+ years ago.

I get the impression, from the lack of stock and constant sales, that they are going to go `t!ts up` soon.....:nenau

I was in the Darlington branch on the Saturday seemed a lot of stock was missing! I wondered if they had taken stock off the shelves while the 30% sale was on, or am i being a bit too cynical.

The only thing i got was a Guy Martin 'suckin Rabbits' t shirt, which wasn't in the sale

I've seen shops in Germany selling fishing stuff and I'm sure they must have cleared the decent stuff back to the stockroom and left only junk for the sale.

There used to be stories of some UK shops buying in a load of crap stuff and selling that in a sale. I never ever go back to shops that I think may be doing that - it's showing contempt for their customers.

As regards HG I have looked at the one in Edinburgh and also in Hamburg. Unfortunately, they have sod all which would fit me, or is of sufficient quality, so I stopped even going into their shops.

HG shops don't order stock unless they don't have one in store and a customer pays for it..... they have a computer which does all that. Badly.

That said, the last couple of times I've been in HG I've been seriously disappointed with the range, quality, and value. While I fully understand that in the current climate it makes sense to pull back a bit on both range and (to a much lesser extent) quality, the fact that they're now often as expensive as Rukka, BMW etc. is seriously disappointing.

Yes, I think you need to pay £1,000 for a pair of BMW branded gloves and £4,000 for a BMW twat suit :thumb

I have bought loads of gear from the Oxford HG, always found their own stuff pretty decent, and with regular 30% deals, or spend over £150 and get £40 off type offers I have always got a deal.

This time I got a pair of boots £120 down to £90, similar to some Alpine Stars at £150 (down from £180) but the HG ones felt as comfy and looked pretty decent (both quality and styling) so that's what I came away with.

The one time I had an issue (stitching on gloves) they swapped them with ni hassle.
