got a fifty pound voucher for the above for chrimbo so i went into the welling branch looking for a pair of draggin jeans and new daisy roots anyhoo they dont stock tosser sizes in the jeans without order and i need to try before i buy,
so i spoke to the manager when i could get her off the phone she has got a take it or leave it attitude glasses like the bottoms of light ale bottles (must have had good eyesight to see through them)a bolt through her lip possibly so she can be tethered whilst feeding and has all the dress sense of a dislexic three year old.
Her assistant a malevolent dwarf direct from chav central casting complete with a tricked up corsa with blacked out, windows carlos fandango racing wheels, and over the top stereo, the pair of them could barely string a sentence together with chain saw accents strait from the late great Jade Goody's school of eloqution,
now when i have been in H.G. before the staff have been polite and helpfull so where they found these two feckwits is beyond belief scraping the barrel for bank holiday monday perhaps.

Total opposite at Leeds HG , very helpful and they know there bike gear.
One sales guy rides a 1150GS n its parked outside the entrance.

Ask for advice in your choice of bike gear and they take time and if asked , give there opinion on what gear to use.

The guy with the 1150 is the one you want to deal with:thumb

was in the chester one yesterday, staff very helpful, and some genuine reductions in their sale.only 3 people in there though and one of them was me.and i wasnt buying just mooching.

The HG stores run on a weird type of franchise model so they may not necessarily have been recruited by HG. Saying that it was Welling, they sound normal for around there:augie

The guys at Purley are very good;)

welling H.G has gone downhill bigtime since this lot took over :pullface

will not use them anymore , maidstone branch i here are a bit better to deal with

Southampton HG is good - The guy even has one of his bikes in the window ... Greeted everyone as they entered and helped me find everything I needed (as well as stuff I didn't need too).:augie

I was also in the Chester branch recently on the way back fron a short trip around Europe. The chap I spoke with was more than helpful and certainly knew his stuff. Well worth the diversion on the way home.:aidan

Welling seem to go through sets of management very quickly. With the old lot from about 4 years ago they were permanent and you got to know them. Now, you turn around to look at the helmets and a new lot have taken over. All down hill I'm afraid.

Good sale on at the moment - went into HG in Southampton and Journey Goretex jacket reduced by £70 and Cruise by £110 - picked up a nice Journey.... they were very helpful.

Wait for a nice day and take the scenic route down to Farnborough. Very good staff there, and the manager is very helpful.

+1 for the farnbourgh lot, theyve even got some pretty tatsy young ladies that work in there, which is always nice! :D

Was in the Edinburgh one today and parted with lots of hard earned. As mentioned before I got £110 of a cruise jacket and £70 of the matching trousers. Staff were great and even gave me a coffee while I was trying on all the different kit. Only £50 off the Master V if your rich enough to afford one.

Got myself a cruise jacket in there as well a couple of days ago..........nearly. They've had to order my size in, but the sale price still applies.

Went into Southampton yesterday looking for boots. They were very pleasant and helpful but I couldn't find anything I liked in my size. Good job really as my credit card was already groaning before I bought No 1 son a new Gibson Les Paul Ebony Custom in the shop across the road (where the knobs go up to 11).:)
