Hi all

Has anybody had any experience of using the Hein Gericke motorcycle cleaners, either the liquid or the gel. Is it as good as the Autoglym motorcycle cleaner? Seems to good to be true £8.99 for 5ltrs (liquid) and £14.99 for 5ltrs (gel) compared to £6.49 for 1ltr (Autoglym)

Regards

I've used it on my Gs and KTM race bike. Works fine but now use "traffic film remover" - do a search for a cleaning chemical supplier via Google. Buy it in 25 ltr drum and split it with friends.........or use it for the next few years yourself. I picked up my last one from Terry Chemicals in Dalton - in - Furness, Cumbria. They call it "Fleet Y", works very well.

I've used the HG Liquid for a couple of years now, it does it's job. I just use a soft brush for the stubborn spots

I've been using it recently replacing Muck-off. I think its as good if not better.

can't comment on Autoglym

Used it for the past 6 years. great for taking flies of the front of the car as well. Its the yellow stuff i used, looks like this:monkeypiz

I don't know.......I'll have to ask the missus, I'm not sure what she uses but the bike alwasy looks like new, takes her a good few hours but then what else can she be doing while I'm watching the footy

I use the orange gel cleaner and found it to be fantastic- gets all the crap off really quickly. Wheels need a bit of a scrub with a brush, but come up lovely. A 5 litre container seems to last for ages as well.

The only thing I find a pain in the backside is the spray trigger- with it being a gel it takes a fair bit of pressure and takes ages to spray up. Think I will invest in one of those pump garden sprays to help the process.

sdoc 100, available from hein gerricke. best yet. Its made by germans and does'nt rust your bike

Yup - on the (extremely) odd accasion that the bike gets washed, I use the orange gel stuff from Gerike. Doesn't leech the colour out of black finishes like Muc-off, cleans very effectively. I dilute it about 1:1 with water to make it spray better; doesn't seem to affect its usefulness.

Exhaust Cleaner

This has been in Hein Gericke's catalogue all year, but I think they've only just got it delivered. Great stuff! :thumb
