I wanted some storage for my daily short commute... I've got the topbox but too bulky/big/fiddley for short trips... looked at tank bags, but too big/expensive/ugly... rucksack..nah.. bum-bag...

Finally bought one of these... http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HED-443801&variation=&aitem=1&mitem=1 - only 34quids from Nippy, easy to fit, unobtrusive.. great for phone, wallet and a sarnie! Expandable, if you want a bit mote, and comes with a rain cover.

I've fitted it direct to the bike with pillion seat removed, as it was a bit tricky getting my leg over with it on the seat. (OK... go on, I'm waiting for it...).

A bargain, IMHO

Shortarse

The biggest issue with rucksacks, and the Emap comics raied against thema ll through the early 90s, is that if you fall off and have anything hard in your rucksack, there is a real danger that you'll cause very serious damage to your spine.

Of course, all the fashion victims of sports bikes wear them .....
