Hello everybody! Best suspension kit for my 1150GS Adventure

Hi Streetbike,

Can I ask you how much you have spent for those and also for their installlation?

I've gone for Wilbers on the grounds that they are designed to be fully serviceable. I know a few folk who have had good experiences with Wilbers and Revs. Also. Have ESA and so was really limited to OE, ohlins, rebuild, or Wilbers. I think the Wilbers offer me the best balance of quality, price, serviceability etc. i plan on keeping the bike long term so it doesn't seem so expensive in my tiny brain if I divide the cost over five or more years!!!

At the moment the choice is between Wilbers and Nitron. I've just got a very good offer for the Nitron NTR+. I don't know much about those but only looking at the detailed photos Nitrons seem to be much better built, even in terms of materials. That probably justifies a slightly higher price.

I can basically get the Wilbers (630 / 640 + HPA) for a bit more thatn £ 800 (plus delivery from Germany) and I can get the Nitron NTR+ front and rear (plus HPA) for a bit more than £ 900 (including delivery).

It might worth getting the Nitron at this point...?!?

give MCT suspension a ring, £500 all in for a quality job rebuilding your oe stuff by the experts, I`ve had 2 bikes done by them and you can watch them while they strip and rebuild and thats worth money in its self :D

Hi Streetbike,

Can I ask you how much you have spent for those and also for their installlation?

Hi Gab, I paid £810 to Rugged Roads and fitted them myself and I'm no mechanic. Some technical help from Nitron - Ollie and Craig :thumb

Hi Streetbike. £ 810? May I ask you the specific shocks you got for that price? Does that also include the P/A and the delivery?

Hi Gab, I picked up the front from Rugged Roads in Lymington and RR arranged for Nitron to send me the rear direct, so, £810 in total - no delivery costs and the shocks are NTR1 R1 front and rear.
