Hello NI Members.. wanna ride?

Hi, I'm based in Bangor, Down and just re-joined UKGSER but can't seem to find many posted rideouts this year 2016. How does one meet/make new biker friends.. maybe here? So if any riders are looking to make new friends/companions give me a shout. Maybe even tour to Europe?.. Northern Spain/Portugal sounds good to me. I've been to the Northern Spain Picos area and there are some great roads out there!

Might be interested in a tour to Europe later this year. Went to Northern Spain over the Pyrenees last September and would be keen to go similar direction again.
Live in Clough near Newcastle, you know, that place all you North Down posers go for the big Sunday morning run.
Maybe some others would fancy a get together and a few runs out. I like to do the miles.
Give me a shout if you want to meet up for a chat over a coffee sometime.

I'm in Bangor too. I'll happily go out for a ride anytime. Down the peninsula or be a poseur like comberjohn calls us North Down folk (!), and head for Newcastle on the ferry. That's my usual run. Like you, I've done the France/north Spain route once. Would be good to do Europe again. Give me a shout on here if you want to meet up, maybe even hook up with that cheeky sod in Clough!

Don't you listen to him..... he has the best tuned 1150 and it goes like stink.


Hutchy tweaked my 1200 recently and it's now a dream to ride. His bike is as quick as a 1200.

I'm doing Europe in mid May for 3 weeks. No plan other than another GSer is planing to join me..... North Spain and Portugal are on the agenda.

But I'm a bit weird and the guys on here will be along soon to tell you to avoid me.

As for Hutchy..... just look at his cover photo. Nuff said!

The club I belong to (Belfast Flyers) meet every Sunday morning @ 11am @ the Short's rec club on the holywood road, there are 7 GS riders in the club along with many other makes and models, usually there are between 10-15 bikes every week, your more than welcome to join us anytime.

Organise a run
It doesn't always have to be the same folks organising it so you might as well get stuck in.
Something further south than Bangor should attract a couple of us 'mexicans' too. Especially if there's chowder (a personal favourite ) or fish & chips on offer
One single piece of advice - pick a date & run with it. If you ask the collective you'll never get a consensus & you'll still be talking about it next year

There's lots of info on all the interesting parts of Europe, and what you need to bring / leave at home, in the Travel section
If you want to borrow books on the Alps, Germany, etc & maps of most of the areas you're likely to want to travel to give me a shout

Was in Currans, Chapeltown, Ardglass last week and had the mini seafood platter that included a small chowder.
