I sold my 1100 to a mate of mine who is coming back to biking after a ehile away. He has one major problem just now though and that is the size of his head, It's massive.

I suggested Schubert as I've heard that they will do the bigger noggin, but apparently the chinpiece is too tight across his chin. I think the blokes at the local Gericke have given up on him.

Any suggestions short of crash dieting or major heid surgery ?

Ha, Class !

I'll pass it on to him. Just thought, If he can't find a helmet, he'll have to sell me mt 1100 back at a silly price !

Try Crossans in Newry, aka The Visor Shop.My mate picked up a xxl lid there recently and he can seem to get any size you need. :clap They mail order the stuff as well

I too have a big bonce! Don't really like full face anyway, and all the flip front helmets so far foul my chin. Now use Arai SZ open face helmets, which I think go up to XXXL

Regards to all

big head

I bought a Shoei XR1000 size XXXL (65-66) in July 09 excellent helmet but I always wanted a flip and when Schberth brought out the C3 I could not resist and was well impressed when the 64-65 fitted.

I am tempted to sell the Shoei but always thought it a hard sell until I read this thread.

We could have a big Head section on the forum.

http://www.helmetcity.co.uk/ do many 3xl helmets but you will have to call them as they are not on the website

If you do try these I highly recommend them. I dealt with Jamie and Adam there who were more than willing to help me out with sizing and exchanging the helmet I originally ordered as it wasn't the right fit.

Obviously it helps if you know what size you need and which helmet will fit your shape of head first before you contact them but therein lies the problem with helmet fitting.

In my case I just didn't have an Arai head but rather a Shoei head.

I bought a BMW system 5 helmet size xxl 64-65 for my big head (nothing much in it). Plenty of room behind the flip front for chins as well.
