Helmet: Gold ACU only...road legal or not ?

The gold ACU sticker (Type A) on the back of my new KBC lid is apparently comparable to the BSI 6658 standard. Does that make it legal for the road ? There are no other stickers.....BSI or any other standard stuck on the lid.

Read a fair bit of blurb but can't find anything which says, in black and white, that an motorsport approved lid is road legal.

Yes its legal, you can't buy a helmet in this country unless it's been tested. The gold sticker just means that you can wear it on a race track. If you buy a helmet that doesn't have a gold sticker you won't be able to do track days with it.
