I have an old Autocom system which has 8 ohm helmet speakers. It has always been very quiet when used with my Zumo550.

I have found a company which does similar speakers rated at 32 ohm.

Does this mean that the 32 ohm will be louder?

Sorry I cant help with you question,I have a 550 and a dab radio through a autocom unit. The volume on the dab was always ok but the zumo was quiet even with its volume up.I got a amplirider off someone on here and when using the dab the volume on the amplirider is down low and when i switch to the 550 for mp3 i turn up the volume.I don't need to for the sat nav side as the level is ok.

If you have a system with 8 ohm speakers it is probably at least 12 years old, because my 2001 sales brochure only refers to 32 ohm speakers.
32 ohm speakers will not be louder.

You are about right it must be something like that age.

Thanks for the 'not louder' info......I won't waste my money in getting them. :thumb
