Hi,

I need to buy a new helmet, I tend to ride most of the time with the visor up (need the air and don't like being shut in!) I have an Arai at the moment and it makes more noise and buffets around more with the visor down. I don't fancy an open face or a flip so any ideas about which is best for my preference? Looking at Shoei Qwest and Schuberth S2 at present. Any recommendations would be appreciated. 1200 gs standard screen.

Although I'm a big Arai fan, the Shoei visor adjustment system is considerably better.

Shoei Hornet DS. I ride with the visor up all the time - unless it is raining. Teperatures from 15+ to 48+. I wear wrap around sunglasses which helps to keep the dust out. Sizing is different to the Arai, I understand, so make sure you try on and walk around the shop for a while before you buy. I have the GSA screen which helps. I notice on a GS with the standard screen the wind can whip your head around when it catches the peak as you check behind you.

I've just bought a Schuberth S2, took a little bit of getting used to, but really pleased with it now.:thumb

Im on my second Shark Evoline. Love the way the chin piece goes right back out of the way.

Yep I got a Shark Evo 3 too which is great albeit a tad heavy, a few weeks back I got a C3 pro but the op said he doesnt want flips shame really as the new Roof Desmo looks pretty cool too

+1 for Shoe I Hornet DS. GS screen with Touratwat extender, visor up at all legal speeds comfortably.
