Whilst cleaning my bike tonight I decided to adjust a few things (fitted the 'pro plug' and fiddled about with settings).

When I fired the bike up on the digital dash two helmet images appeared, there's no mention of them in the handbook. Are they there as the dash is a generic one used by bikes that use these images for something?

Not tried the pro plug but first thought is that among the configurations you can perhaps override dynamic ESA, and therefore revert to manual load adjustments? (Helmets refer to rider and rider+pillion)

Scrolling through the settings it doesn't look like it. I can configure the engine response, DTC and preload settings for each mode but that doesn't appear to be an option.

RTFM. I hope you've heard that phrase on this forum before

Op already said they aren't mentioned. The new rally has self setting suspension so wouldn't normally have the weight settings. Look in the handbook for last year's model. But the symbols are pretty obvious. 2 helmets = 2 people (and luggage) suitcase = solo rider with luggage.

It's a standard screen that when you first power on the bike every symbol on it is illuminated. The helmets are irrelevant to the new models; that's why they don't appear in the manual.

Thank you.

Thanks for the explanation! Makes sense. You learn something new each day.

This is a technical forum :blast ?

Technical- ADJECTIVE

Relating to a particular subject, art, or craft, or its techniques.

Seems to fit the requirements and people have been helped. I thought that was what this site was about? I apologise if I offended you, but you didn't have to reply.

No offence but one of the things to do when you buy a new vehicle is to at least have a scan through the owners manual :thumby:

have you seen the Rallye handbook ? the details on the suspension is mid boggling ,in fact theres a the handbook and also a supplementarity handbook specific for the rallye ....

If I can dispense some advice, work through the manual with the bike next to you and play with the settings. Having read both manuals referring to the suspension to me it is fairly simple, more so than mine which is a 14 plate GSA. Back to your question. No adjustment required for the pillion as dynamic adjusts for it automatically. It might just be the startup procedure and something the software techs might suppress with subsequent updates if anyone notices. The supplement is specific to Rallye accessories and off road config.
