I've just got this in an e-mail from a friend. In spite of being an accomplished road and track rider and racer, he's still something of a novice on the dirt - you might be aware that there's precious few places where you can legally ride off-road in Scotland. He is, however, improving since he sold his CRF 450X (I did try to tell him....
) and bought a KTM 200EXC.
So, any advice on how and where he can find somewhere to ride in England or Wales next week....?

I’m off down to Brum for a night’s work next week. Thought I’d stick the bike in and go rag round some off-road, probably in North Wales. However I can’t seem to find any decent, clear route guides/advice. You hang about on all yon adventure-type sites so I’m hoping you’ll know where to find some info.
I’ll be passing Yorkshire and Cumbria too if Wales is no good….
