Trying to help out a friend who's stuck...
Bike is a F650 GS (not Dakar) '06 reg.
She rode it to a petrol station the other morning, filled up with fuel and then the bike wouldn't start - it cranked the starter slowly a few times when she hit the button, but I think the battery was basically dead - combination of short journeys and the cold probably.
She pushed the bike to work and left it there.. Now a 'mate' turned up with a new battery and swapped it out. They switched the bike on and it all looked good - the instrument panel lit up etc. However, when they hit the start button the bike cranked the starter but it suddenly went completely dead - no lights on the dash anymore and it will no longer try to start at all.
Sounds to me like they they blew a main fuse, but I can't find any reference to where that might be. They've checked the fuse box under the seat (has 8 fuses) but they all look good.
Anything else I can tell them to check?
Thanks,
David.
