Help: Computer Numpty

A couple of questions:

I have loads of photographs of the bike trips I've made and would like to get them put onto a CD rom 'thingy' for ease of storage and so I can post a few pictures on the site. The problem is I can't find the negatives and I don't have a scanner.

Does anyone know if phograghic shops can do this sort of thing for me?

The other thing is, I have loads of pictures taken with a digital camera stored in my laptop. If I put CD thingy into it will I be able to download onto the disc or do I need a CD re-writer?

Have you USB ports on your laptop?

If so

Might be cheaper to buy a Scanner these days little as 30 quid @ www.novatech.co.uk

CD writer also relatively cheap buy a USB one and away you go again just over 30 quid same place.

Talk to Noddy, he offered to do some for me before so must have a nice scanner, etc, said post the pics to him and he will return within the week.
