I've finally got round to getting myself a Kenwood TK3201 radio to use with my new Autocom Duo 300 setup on my GSA.

I want to power it from the bike but I'm getting really confused about what you can do and what issues you may have.

I basically have the above setup but now need to connect the kenwood to the duo 300. I think I can use what they call a dummy battery pack for this. Does this dummy power pack also include the cabling to enable comms to go through the radio or do I need another cable for that part? I have also heard that it can give interference but is this only on other systems?

Does anyone know what autocom parts I'll need to both power the kenwood and also use it for comms?

The second part to this would be that potentially I would want to keep the TK3201 connected and working for comms but also take all audio from the duo 300 and pass that into say a camcorder or archos box to record all audio along with video from a bullet cam. Thats something I can do later but might affect what I use for just powering and connecting the kenwood.

Its probabley one for GSRich but I'm too scared to ask him now as I owe him about 4 gallons of beer for all the help he's given me. :o

cheers :beerjug:

Hi Nick,

A Part 1402 will supply the Kenwood the relevant power from the Super Pro, it will also connect all of the audio side of the set up. If the Kenwood is going on a GS you will need a couple of Part 1512's also which are extension leads to extend the bike to bike connections.

As for the recording side of things we can offer a few different connections for this no worries at all.

That will be another pint of Stella please.........Im only joking please ask away as much as you want as I really do not mind at all. You can post on here or if you want drop me a PM and I will reply as soon as I can :thumb

Rich, could you give me some idea of costs to install Active Rider Plus to a F650GS and an X Challenge.

Cheers
