Got myself some Hepco and Becker engine and tank bars from those nice people at Motobins....... thought it'd be fairly straightforward to fit 'em.:blast
All instructions in German, and me and a mate had a go on Friday afternoon to fit 'em. We had the tools, (apart from socket extn bar), and got the tank off and gave up soon after......... any thoughts, or pointers regarding the 'spacers' and correct fitting. Need help soon, as I'm off to Barcelona on the bike on 17th july

Yup the one thing I need :D How long does an order of engine bars take from motobins

ordered my engine and tank bars last Tuesday night on t'internet, arrived first thing Thurday Mornin...... very quick delivery IMHO

Spoke to a chap in Cardiff today who has informed me the hepco bars are a danger to the engine in a fall by the way they attach to the gearbox. From what he said I rekon I will now probably go with Touratech ones.

And here's the fitted end result;

falls with H&B engine bars

Regrettably have user tested their protection. Came off on the ice last winter. Bike went 15yds down the road on its side. Aside from scratches to the bars and a blown indicator bulb all was OK. Pity I'd only had my new Streetguard suit a week - still it also proved its protective qualities.

I have also tested the protective qualities of H & B bars by sliding down the road last winter in a similar incident to GScommuter. Excellent bars for protecting you and the expensive parts of the bike. Indicator and mirror damaged as well as a scratched top box. Fluo vest saved the HG suit getting damaged.
