HELP Flat Battery AGAIN!!!

Thanks for all your replies guys, :beerjug:

Pidcocks is fairly close in L Eaton, will pop on over armed with Morticias name!

(FYI its a 2008 GSA with Garmin 1470.)

1200 GSA 2008.

First off, its my own fault, I have my Garmin sat-nav wired up to my external power socket under the seat. If I forget to unplug the cigarette lighter style connector (which has a power LED on it, which i think is causing the drain) I get a flat battery after a few days of not using the bike, :blast

BUT........:blagblah:blagblah isnt the power supposed to automatically switch off after 15 minutes. Checked just and there is still power to the socket (bike has been sat there for a week)

Any tosser tips (apart from take the connector out every time:rob)

Have a look at this reply I posted a while back. I now have all my extra electrical items independently powered via relays and conventional fuses. The CanBus controlled accessory socket is just too temperamental in my view.

When i park up, e.g. at work, I disconnect the sat nav and take it in with me (not water proof or lockable). Then when i leave work i re-connect the garmin and it has power to it before i even turn on the ignition so dont think its that.

thanks anyway :beerjug:

New battery too!

it shouldnt have power unless you are connecting direct to the battery.
