Help for Thicko

I've got an SP2610 and an Autocom SuperPro Avi.

I've had them on two separate bikes but now want to put them both on my 1200.

I've got a Garmin power and audio lead which was connected to the battery, and the Autocom unit was previously powered from the tail light.

Do I need a different lead for the 2610 now - one which takes the power from the battery but puts the audio bit to the Autocom?

Can someone explain in simple terms how I set things up to listen to the 2610 through the Autocom. Sorry, but my brain seems to reject any electrical knowledge

To get you sorted you will need a Garmin bike power and audio lead, this will be the triangle plug that fits in the back of the Garmin and then runs to a 2.5mm jack plug socket. The cable will run via an inline fuse to bare cables.

Our Parts 1294 (2.5mm mono to 3.5mm stereo GPS interface lead) and Part 1285 (Isolation adaptor designed for the AUX4) are then used to carry the audio from the Garmin in the system.

The power for the GPS could be taken direct to the battery but we always wire to a switched power source which on the 1200GS is taken from the back of the auxilary power socket via the red/green wire. The earth is ran direct to the bikes batttery.
