I am a bit of a luddite when it comes to GPS. Our local touratech dealer has a GPSmap 60cx in for 376 chf new (about 221 pounds) and the Zumo 550 is 1068 chf (about 628 pounds) but includes everything.

My queston is, is the Zumo worth the extra ??????

I want to:
Be able to plan routes on the computer including lots of way points then transfer to the GPS.

Be able to plan 7 days of routes or more.

Download map updates when available.

Use it on the bike, car and on foot.

Find addresses when out.

The 60cx map is not in colour. Is this an issue (colur is 700 chf) and does not have voice direction.

Many thanks for your help

Mike

I have the 60 csx as a back up to my zumo :)

Personally if you only road ride, and hardly use the gps when walking the zumo would be better as a first gps. The 60 csx is very configurable, and would teach you a lot about gps's, but it only pings when approaching a turn and AFAIK you can't hear that through an autocom etc :(

60's screen size is small and not that easy to read, especially if you have it displaying a few information fields. For these and a few other reasons it's why the 60 is my back up. HTH :)

i have a 60csx and suspect i will be getting the new zumo 660 due to small and dim screen on the 60csx. it is colour however.

i'm pretty sure the 60 would be better for trail riding and walking though.

Many thanks John and Cookie,

Looks like it will be Zumo then, Will have to start saving.
