Suggestions Welcome...

Driving in this morning, had mega trouble down shifting. Which provide several interesting moments.....

I've now had a look at in the light but nothing looks obvious wrong / out of place....????

Best part of all is the Dealer is now on holiday until Jan 7th!!!!

Any sugestions to get me home or should I phone NCI or BMW breakdown to come and take it away.....???

never happened to me, but loads of people report this sort of problem because of winter crud and crap getting into the gear linkages. might be worth popping out and getting a can of WD40 and spraying it liberally all over the linkages. might cure the problem - might not! but cheap and easy if it does.

This happened to me and is a common problem. Just prise out gently with a small electrical type screwdriver, the two circlips and push off the ball linkages top and bottom.put a small amount og grease in each ball cup and replace. Dont forget to re-fit the clips and you'll find your gearshifts back to normal.

Gary, it's John at Motorrad. As the post above says it's most likely just cruded up.If you can't get it cleaned call the number on our website and I'll see what I can do.

John, (or should i say hawkeye)

I'd managed to track down your number before Id seen your second note....

I will limp it home tonight as doesnt sound serious and I'll
have a better look at it over the holidays.

If I've any problems I will see you on the Jan 7th.

Ok Garry. If you have a problem give me a call and I will speak to Craig and get advice. Have a good holiday.

Thanks for all the replies..........

and John for being so observant
