It's a pretty resourceful place where they fix rather than replace things.
I was cycling there a few weeks ago. My aluminium frame snapped on the first day. I found someone to fix it at 8 pm and paid £16 - was probably ripped off! It lasted the week so I was a happy bunny.
I would start asking about - somebody will know a person that can help. I found the locals outside of Marrakesh to be very helpful and decent.

If it’s just a sticky bendix or solenoid give it a smack with a spanner or small hammer as you press the starter, this will often get you started
