Help identify alloy tank

I know its not Beemer related but I thought Id ask as you're such a knowledgeable lot

I picked this alloy tank up today but Ive no idea what its off, can anybody help? Yamaha YZ465? Gap between the lugs is about 5 1/4" or 135mm

First thought was Yamaha , early XT maybe?

Here's a 1980 YZ465 tank - fuel tap same side but very much a different shape.

The fuel cap looks like an 80's Suzuki ts

I'd have a guess at SP370/400

A google search shows that all of the named bikes so far have frame mounts inside the tunnel. So unless that tank has had those mount lugs modified I'm afraid we all appear to be wrong so far.

Edit: Just noticed what looks like the previous fuel tap location has been welded up. It now looks like it could be one of the above mentioned bikes but very much modified to fit something else.

Alternatively I could be talking bollocks!

I think Ive nailed it to a Yamaha IT? Thats what Im listing it on ebay as anyway!
