Help Identifying A Vintage Bike

[KWS]

Apart from occasionally taking one of my bikes for a spin, my father did most of his bike riding before I was born. In latter years he talked fondly of a couple of Vincents that he owned, a Black Knight and a Black Shadow and wished he still had them.

I recently came across this old photo of him with one of his bikes, but I don’t know which one it is and he’s no longer around to ask.

Does anyone recognise it ?

The image shows a classic British Triumph Tiger 100 500cc motorcycle from the late 1940s or early 1950s, fitted with saddlebags, a telescopic front fork, and a sprung hub.

Thanks Robbi,

He never mentioned owning a Triumph, so that’s news to me.

Lovely bike. I had a 58 swinging arm model. Same ally engine

I still maintain that during that era, Triumph made the most beautiful bikes. Love that.
