Help identify this please

I was just putting my 1200GS and my wife's 650GS away earlier and this part seemed to drop out from the front end of her bike.

It's just possible it came off mine but for the life of me I can't see anything missing on either!!!

The part no. is FeP02

Any ideas anybody?

ahh ,that be a reinforcing piece from behind the windscreen ,check the windscreen securing screws are all in place , i think the part is secured by the bottom screw . id checkout the online parts diagram to be sure

Hi Dave

It's from the F650, mounts behind the fairing, just above the headlight, the bottom mounting screw of the windscreen fastens to it. It braces up the plastic to make the screen mounting more secure, less shaky!

You guys are a bunch of stars. Thanks a lot.

Every time I ride her bike I've been pissed off by a rattle in the headlamp area. Of course she doesn't notice - never does! So 10,000 miles after I fitted her Wunderlich screen the bracing bar, which is redundant because the new screen doesn't have a centre fixing, falls out.
