Help identifying a bolt

That's not a genuine BMW bolt from any 1150.

Thanks Neil. I was beginning to wonder. The style, finish and where I found it all pointed towards it coming from the bike. Problem now is working out where it is from. At least I can stop worrying about the bike falling to bits.

No no....you can't stop worrying yet...he didn't say the bolt hadn't come from your bike.....he said its not an official bolt.....

Your bolt is

Have you checked your lawn mower or even better if you've had any friends with English car round for a visit get on the phone and ask them :D

At least you found out. Terrifying when you find a bit and don't know where it came from. I found a bit of broken wratchet in the bottom of my oil pan one day and this place identified it as such and not a piece of my engine. Lol!

Finally worked out where it came from. :clap

It was used to repair one of the chairs for the breakfast bar on the kitchen I've just ripped out. Not my repair by the way it was the previous tennant. They were wooden chairs to :blast

Thanks for all the suggestions :thumby:
