I am looking for help in finding a solution for mounting an mda compact with tomtom 5. I have a Nippy Normans wide screen if this makes any difference.

I have read through the various threads and still do not know what the best solution is. Autocom will be installed next week but I don't know whether they have a power adaptor.

I have a rubber cover for the phone and wondered whether that would be good enough or whether I go down the otterbox route.

Anyone who has pictures and their exact RAM details -your input would be much appreciated as their catalogue is mind boggling!!!

Thanking you in advance.

Showing my total ignorance here, but what's an "mda compact"?

I have got a Tom Tom original mounted on the wottsit bar above/behind the instruments.

I found an answer...........
I too use TomTom5 on my HP 4155 ipaq with a Bluetooth mouse. Works good and no complaints there. Mounting options are another thing, I have a quite water resistant pouch bag wotsit from TT. Its mounted on a small crossbar which sits between the handle bar mounting bolts. You can angle the pouch so as to see your screen clearly and you can also operate the touchscreen comfortably.

Handlebar bracket PDA Standard
with MvG vibration isolation

Main problem is using a tank bag........ due to the height of my tankbag I cant read the screen, and the bracket is to close to adjust and will rub against the bag, so I am going to make a metal plate and mount the bracket and pouch above my instrament panel. So far I have made a cardboard template and it looks OK. When I am done, I will upload pics if you want including dimensions if needed. :thumb
