As some of ye know, Kev is in Marrakech on a 12day trip with Nick Sanders!

He hit a pothole today and now needs 7 new spokes on his back wheel:eek:

I've searched for a motorrad in/near Marrakech but can't find one:clap

I've sent him the info from the thread here bout the 2 shops in casablanca but wonder if the Motorrad mentioned(due to open in 2010) has opened??

Any help'd be great:thumb

He's there tomorrow but they're supposed to be heading off again on Saturday!

Cheers

i saw a program where they took them from around the rim to continue journey.
probably no help.but might be worth a shot.
;)

Thanks Ash, I've sent him all those assistance numbers:thumb

Will Kev know what you mean by "from around the rim"!?!

No wonder he needs to go for training in January.
I know that's no help but it had to be said. :D

He'll probably have an idea....best not ask him to explain, though.

You're so Baaaaad!!!!!!

He's already missed a day's riding cos he got anaphylactic shock from a bee sting:eek: His eyes were swollen shut for 24 hours!

So hopefully he'll get it sorted tomorrow:thumb2

Just outside the old city walls, there is a roundabout that is lit with blue LEDs at night...the 'Place De Liberte'

Face the petrol station there, and the road to the right of it is the Avenue Moulay Hassan...its a dual carriageway style road with a long grassy divide up the centre.

About 300 metres up that road, on the right hand side (on the opposite side from the petrol station) there is a row of shops under a big apartment building.....underneath it, there is an odd shopping arcade, but at the very end of the row of shops (the furthest end away from the roundabout), you will find a steep ramp going down to an underground parking area.

Go down there, and hidden away just around the corner is a bike garage....they have 20-30 second hand bikes for sale, a load of new and second hand tyres and a fairly competent mechanic.

The fat guy who owns it is Moroccan/French and speaks a little English, and they will probably be able to help.

They work on the local Gendarmerie's F650s.

Spokes can be sent overnight from Casablanca Motorrad via the truck system for a few quid, but you need someone au-fait with the system to arrange it, and BMW Casablanca are pretty fekking useless as well :(

If that fails, call Peter at Biker's home in Ouazazarte......00.212.670.785.640

He will be able to sort you out :thumb2

He got the old spokes out, and had to drill new holes for the new spokes!

They rode over the Col de Ticka today, staying in Tenherir tonight:thumb2

So it's all good!
