Help! Need to re-size files/photo's to post here!

I have posted this again as my last post concerning my inability to use a pc sank without trace!

I was trying to post a photo and text from a really funny email I received today and at 1.5MB the file was too large for this forum.

Can i reduce the file size and if so, how?

theres prob an easier way, but you can use photo shop,,,"resize image"..
thats if you have it of course

Try a google search for pixresizer which is available as a free download. Been using it for years now and it works well.

Theres a couple of things out there which IMO are easier than using 'photo software'

are you on Vista or XP ( if you're on a Mac, you should be able to sort your own )

So, Vista

go to microsoft> power toys. image resizer. download this bit of softy and let it install.
Once you have done that,locate a picture file (jpg) and Right click, from the pop up menu select re-size pic. decide on the size and click. it will make a copy of your file,name accordingly and it will be in the same folder so it will be easy to find...

Vista is a little more involved and i've forgot what the programs called .....but if you Google Vista pic re sizer you will find something suitable...

just had a looky ..... you need "VSO picture resizer"
