With a Zumo 550 and an Mac I was hoping to use Bobcat to plan some routes for an upcoming trip to France.

Bobcat is successfully installed on my Mac but I've run into problems getting the maps converted; my son has a Macbook with Crossover installed. Unfortunately we can't get Mapsource to run in Windows mode as it produces an error message and crashes. The map convertor wizard does not work as it cannot find the maps! I suspect the issue lies with Crossover not emulating Windows to the liking of the Garmin software. Therefore can't get the maps converted to install on my Mac.

Hope all that makes sense!

Not sure if anyone has any suggestions, could convert the maps for me (would only really need France at a push) or failing that do me a route?

Any help appreciated.

Regards Bob

do what I just did....easiest option is to get Parallels and a Windows OS (or use Bootcamp if you use Leopard I think) .....all the glorious beauty of a Mac.....with just a little bit of evil locked in a box.....:D

I can't be bothered faffing about.....easy wins everytime.....:rob

In theory the easiest...............but not exactly the most economical :(

My Mac is an older one and will not run Bootcamp, nor Parallels and my son is not about to fork out for Windows on his newer Macbook hence why he uses Crossover.

As per my original post perhaps someone can assist with regards to either converting/providing a map or as a last resort a route.

Regards Bob
